Maima returned to read to Roo once again. Roo really enjoys Maima’s choice of books and the gentle way in which she reads to him.
Roo had some special visitors during his after-school reading sessions. Two Samuels! Samuel Snr and Samuel Jnr came in for a special visit – just to sit down, pat and meet Roo. Samuel Jnr was great with Roo – and knew that it is always best to pat a dog with an open hand.
Thanks for coming in and supporting our reading dog sessions!
When Roo has breaks at the library, and sniffs and wanders his way around outside, he often meets new people and makes new friends.
To promote his reading dog services at the Otara Library, Roo now has his very own business card to hand out to people he meets and greets outside.
It comes with Roo’s personalised logo – which Roo is quite proud of!
Selena read Roo his longest story yet – that of Florentine the Pig. Roo was really impressed and wished the story never ended – he was just so relaxed listening to her excellent reading.
She took extra care to ensure that Roo could see all the pictures in the book as well listening to the words.
